Has anyone tried a colon cleanse pill regime?
Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the herbal formulas for this, and if so what you thought. Did you have good results, negative results, non-results? Have you felt better since then? Did any weird symptoms you were having go away after the fact? (i.e. Did it clear up your skin or cause you to lose some weight?) Any info on this would be helpful!
I don’t really know that I have bought into anything. I haven’t bought into “medical science” knowing everything, or always having our best interest in mind. I am just trying to find people who have used it and figure out what they thought of it.

Hi! Yes, there are many good ways of doing this. There is a particularly good program by Natures Sunshine Products using pills and a special drink which cleanses your out very well. Check with them. It used to be called the CLZ Kit when I was in practice and using their wonderful products.

I hope you haven’t bought into the idea that “we’re all walking around with pounds of decaying fecal matter inside us” because it’s just not true. That’s an outdated idea that started with the Egyptians and, for some reason, just refuses to die. But, back to your question.
Most of the cleansing programs work by bulking up your stools. (That’s probably part of the reason this myth persists. People see larger, more frequent stools and think “Wow!”.) This can help some people feel that their bowel movements are more productive and more comfortable.
Some have added herbs that act as natural laxatives; some also have anti-parasitic botanicals, etc. These ingredients can cause cramping and diarrhea in some people.
When you begin a cleanse, make sure you follow the directions–especially about drinking extra water.
I’ve had a couple of clients tell me that cleansing was a great way to kick-start a weight-loss program but I suspect it was the act of doing something rather than the cleanse itself. I’m also extremely suspicious of claims that cleansing can clear acne, etc. I’m not opposed to cleansing–I just don’t buy most of the claims.
